About the Web Design
I started doing web design when I was thirteen, relying heavily on Funky-Chickens as I made websites to show off my pixelart.
Up until a few months ago, I was coding everything "by hand", and only for my own enjoyment. A friend saw this site and my etsy shop, and asked if I could help her stepfather with his website, and he ended up just hiring me to do his website for him. Since I ended up being paid an hourly rate for my work, I felt obligated to give up hand-coding in favor of an easier, but above all quicker, method. Now, I use a WYSIWYG program.
I'd like to work for mostly local people - it's a lot easier if I can sit down with someone in person and work out what they want. Because I don't have any formal training, I don't charge as much as others might.
I'm still more than happy to give advice about making your own website to anyone who wants it, for free; in fact, I may add a web design section to the tutorials page later on. Until I do, there are a lot of great sites that helped me a lot listed on the links page, and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. Just send me an email.
